We're looking for scholars, athletes and leaders to join the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). As a UBalt student, you can join Army ROTC as part of our partnership with or . The ROTC mission is to lead, train, develop, mentor and commission the future officer leadership of the U.S. Army.
Here's how it works:
You'll take ROTC curriculum at The Johns Hopkins University or the University of Maryland,
College Park along with your required classes at UBalt.
When you graduate, you will be commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army or Air
Force.
ROTC scholarships may be available for select students. Please select the appropriate

one 2-hour/2-credit class per week
one 2-hour/1-credit leadership lab per week
three hours of physical fitness per week
Leader's Training Course: There's a potential $5,000 bonus for this 4-week course.
Air Assault School: Ten days of rigorous, fast-paced training.
Cadet Troop Leadership Training: Intern with second lieutenant platoon leaders.
Students who receive scholarships will normally serve four years of active duty or
six years of U.S. Army Reserve or National Guard duty (one weekend a month and two
weeks of drill training per year).
Non-scholarship students can participate without any service obligation up to their
junior year.
