Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp

Calling all students.

We're looking for scholars, athletes and leaders to join the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). As a UBalt student, you can join Army ROTC as part of our partnership with  or . The ROTC mission is to lead, train, develop, mentor and commission the future officer leadership of the U.S. Army.

 

Here's how it works:

 

 
  • one 2-hour/2-credit class per week
  • one 2-hour/1-credit leadership lab per week
  • three hours of physical fitness per week
  • Leader's Training Course: There's a potential $5,000 bonus for this 4-week course.
  • Air Assault School: Ten days of rigorous, fast-paced training.
  • Cadet Troop Leadership Training: Intern with second lieutenant platoon leaders.
  • Students who receive scholarships will normally serve four years of active duty or six years of U.S. Army Reserve or National Guard duty (one weekend a month and two weeks of drill training per year).
  • Non-scholarship students can participate without any service obligation up to their junior year.
